Speaker Priya Varadarajan, founder of Durga-an organization for women empowerment, talks about how Durga has helped women prevent the everyday sexual harassment incidents that they face in buses, work places and public venues that usually goes unnoticed. The Durga, set out to make a difference. A CA by profession, a DURGA by choice, Priya Varadarajan is the founder of DURGA, “an initiative that brings out inherent skills among young Indian women to recognise and deter crime.” After the Nirbhaya Rape Case, Priya felt that something must be done to empower Indian women.
